In the Meme Time

Once upon a time, I used to post a meme every week on ARHtistic License.

Then I used up all the storage in my WordPress blog’s media library. I upgraded my free plan to a paid one that included 6 GB.

And then I ran out of media storage again. I upgraded to 13 GB .

And ran out of media storage again. My next option was to upgrade to 200 GB, at a cost of $20 per month, payable every 2 years ($480!). Do I really need 200 GB? Why isn’t there a 100 GB plan?

I opted for a free membership to Flickr and embedded my photos from there. To save space, I decided to limit how many images I used in a single post, and I eliminated my weekly “In the Meme Time” posts.

And then I used up all my storage in Flickr. So my choices were to purchase a membership at Flickr (you know, the interface is not so great when you embed your photos to WordPress) or to pay the bloodsuckers at WordPress.

I’m paying WordPress, even though I think it’s way too costly. But you know what, I miss making memes. So I’ve decided to every once in a while have a day when I make and post positive messages. Today is the first installment. Enjoy!
